Fishing

Looks like I haven't quite figured out how to schedule my posts, or blogger won't accept my timing. I'll have to stick with the manual way, I guess :)

A while ago, Anne from the Ooh-la-la challengeblog asked me whether I'd like to be their guest designer for a month. Of cours I liked, so we decided on June and well, here I am with challenge #1 – One for the Boys. I've been given a selection of Ooh-la-la files to work with, and I decided to go for the fishing-theme. 

I used the ooh-la-la background paper featuring fishes and decided to make a rather simple male card. For the centerpiece, I've chosen a saying I found at quotesville.com – "A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work". 

I placed it on a couple of blue background snippets and coloured the edges with different shades of coloured pencils.

As it's a boys' card, I used very liittle embellishments – all in all, it's mainly the anchor-shaped charm on a cord and gemstones in silver and blue that would resemble bubbles.

Additionally, I decided to decorate the inside with two fishes I've cut out from the background paper print.
