I wasn't really trying to create a winter card anyway when I was preparing cards for my exhibition, but I thought this soft, almost empty pattern would give more space to the stitched butterflies in the centerpiece than any flower-ish paper I had in my stash. This in mind, I didn't add much embellishments either: a couple of tiny light blue pearls, and two shades of zig-zag cut blue background paper.
And after all, even though it's rather unlikely that you'll find butterflies fluttering around in the cold part of the year, the chance of a winter baby is quite real and why not add a little seasonal touch to the welcome note?
As we're starting June though, it's all about announcing our current theme for the Fadengrafik Challenge. This month, we'll be looking forward to seeing your "baby" creations. Winter inspired or not, cards or ATG - make sure your projects includes some kind of paper embroidery and link it up for the chance of winning a cool prize again.

Lots of blue & white in spring, too. Of course, the apricot blossoms are long gone, and Mr. Bumblebee by now has plenty of choices on where to stick his nose into ;)
