For one, I used a picture of an owl from an old calendar. I struggled with the background for quite a while, but in the end I used a combination of wooden background paper and a flower punch atop of it, which reminds me of a fence covered with snow. Three more pearls in the right lower corner, and - finito.
The second card has a stitched ornament with pearls, which fits nicely to the alpine scenery in the background. This picture, too, is taken from an old calendar.
