Singing in the rain

The current abc challenge says "W for water", and although one may associate water with sea, mermaids and underwater life, I've chosen to go with that other water - the one coming from above. There has been pretty much of this kind of water lately, with parts of Slovenia being flooded once again this year, and they say it's more to come.
This cute Precious Moments girl obviously lives in safer areas and decided to go for a walk with her red umbrella. Leafs are falling from the trees as the wind blows, but she seems to have fun anyway.
For the outline of the card I used a sketch from the current sketchsaturday. Choosing the right colours was a bit more dififcult asI have made a pretty colourful image. In the end, I've chosen a turquoise paper with flowers, which is mainly hidden, and a light brown background paper. To complete the autumn scenery, I added some blue pearls and a sign saying "singing in the rain".

The little girl is right: there's nothing better than a walk through the bright coloured forest. Riversides can be an interesting sight in autumn - the reflections of trees can be quite surreal at times.
