Let it snow

Is it time for another Fadengrafik Challenge yet? 
I'm sure many of you are working on Chritmas projects already, and matching to the upcoming holidays, our theme this month is "Christmas cards". Create a Christmas themed card using paper embroidery and enter it in our challenge to win a cool prize.
I for my part will contribute this snowman card, which is actually another card from my exhibition and very similar to one I've already featured for the Fadengrafik Callenge once before. 

However, this time I've stitched the swirl motif with regular brown yarn, making it look like a twisted branch. For the leaves, I used some green, which I decorated with tiny shimmering rhinestones to resemble ice crystals. 
To complete the card, I've once  again chosen this adorable snowman digi. And even though he is already enjoying the first snowflakes (i.e. tiny white pearls), I don't think we're there yet for real. It is certainly getting colder, but on the other hand, as soon as the sun comes out, the days are actually quite nice and warm. 

As I once again stitched on the card base, I needed something to cover up the yarns on the inside, and after trying a couple of coloured papers, I decided to go with a simple white one with embossed shimmering swirls.
